On the Occasion of 49th International Caste and Racial Discrimination Elimination day, Dalit Women really in Kathmandu.

On the international day of 21st March 2014, “49th International Caste and Racial Discrimination Elimination Day’ was celebrated with the coordination of Dalit NGO Federation (DNF).The rally organized with its issues of slogans incorporated by DNF was ‘Dalit friendly constitution for sustainable peace and social justice’ and ’10 years of integrated camping to eliminate caste’. The rally started from Brikuti Mandap about 8 am to till 4 pm at World Trade Centre, Tripureshwar, and Kathmandu. The program was set at world trade centre where more than 400 participants from different organization such as UNDP, UNICEF, Dalit CBOs, Politicians, stakeholders and Dalit activist participated.The chief guest of the Program was Mr. Karna Thapa, Minister of Ministry of Industry. The main objectives  of the  program was to deliver the  Dalit  issues in upcoming constitution in maximum level and  in national planning  and policy’s of  constituted in interim constitution . The activists were with the demand to raisethe issues of Dalits and lobby of the national policy.The participants from FEDO had actively participated in the program. The chief guest Mr. Karna Thapa spoke about the political, economic, social Dalit stereotype still prominent in our country where Dalit need to vocal their voice and pressure up the government simultaneously for their rights and justice.
