Dalit Women Leaders ready to form a common network to address the Dalit Women’s common agenda and their Proporsonal representation in the New Constituent Assembly. Feminist Dalit Organization (FEDO) Organized a discussion on 22nd April at Kathmandu at that meeting UCPN Maoist, CPN-UML, Nepali Congress and other political parties Dalit women leaders ready to form a common network for the raise common agenda of Dalit women’s. In the Programme President of Feminist Dalit Organization (FEDO) Durga Sob said Dalit women’s need to fight against Identity, Inclusion and Existence in the upcoming days.

She said nobody go ahead with person centered politics. This is why we Dalit Women must go ahead with collective action through common network she added. In the dissolved Constituent Assembly there was provision of 58 percent quota for the Propersonal and 42 percent quota for the first past the post election system. This is why we see historical representation of Dalit in the CA. She added.

Likewise the purposed seats for the upcoming CA Political parties allocate 240 seats for the propersonal representation and 240 for the first past the post system and 11 CA will be nominated. If this provision will be finalized at that time Dalit women’s representation will be decrease in the upcoming CA. in this condition every dalit women need to sensitize to all in time. In this time we dalit women’s need to go ahead with collective action to increase the seats for propersonal representation for the dalit women with president of Interim election council and other senior leaders of major political parties with Memorandum soon she added. She says in the affiliation of Dalit wings of every major political party’s women leaders. We need to form a common network to insure their agendas in the upcoming Constituent Assembly.

In the Interaction program Pancha Ruku Ranpal who is a member of UCPN Maoist sister wing Nepal National Dalit Mukti Morcha informed that we must need to formed common network to include different political parties women leaders to influence the political parties for the issues of Dalit women. For the network first of all we need to access of dalit women’s participations within the parties. In the upcoming Constituent Assembly political parties assure the provision of dalit women between the competitions between Dalit. Ranapal says common network is very necessary for Dalit women. And we need to preliminary draft by the consultant before formed the network. It helps to be continuing this network in future she added.

Rama Bishwokarma a Central member of CPN-UML sister wing Mukti Samaj Nepal shared her views that Feminist Dalit Organization (FEDO) need to support for Dalit women leaders as a bridge. She says while we will go to meet with president of interim election council Khila raj Regmi at that time we need to declare include the representative issues what agendas we raise with him it should be finalize by the network members. Bhagawati Bishwokarma member of Nepali Congress every dalit women need to give pressure in their political parties to insure their representation in the upcoming Constituent Assembly. For that action we need to form a common network to include different political party’s dalit women leaders. Khem Maya Siwa member of CPN-UML Dalit wing Mukti Samaj said that Dalit women require a common network to influence their voice and raise their issues in different forum. She also said while forming the network we sit together with our parties senior leaders. I think it will support to continue such types of network. At the Programme Dalit Intellectual Hira Bishwokarma said Political parties purposed 49 percent propersonal representation and 49 percent of First past the post and 2 percent from nominate it seems Dalit women’s representation will be decrease in the upcoming Constituent Assembly.

He says if some political parties did not give 30 percent candidacy from their parties at that time election commission’s act would not be active for provide the representation of propersonal quota. This is why dalit women’s representation will be decrease in the upcoming Constituent Assembly. If we want to more representation of dalit women in the coming CA. for that action we must give to pressure to interim election council, major political parties and election commission regularly he added.
